PROJECT OVERVIEW
PROJECT OVERVIEW

Eighty years in the bus industry, and a vehicle nobody had built before: the first 4x4 passenger bus on a Scania chassis. AutoBus Australia came to us in September 2025 with no brand in market. Twelve months later, their first TRUBUS was the centrepiece of the Scania stand at the Australasia Bus & Coach Show.

The Challenge
The Challenge

Create demand for a vehicle with no name, no category and no track record, across multiple industries that buy in completely different ways, before a single vehicle had been seen in public.

WHAT WE DID
WHAT WE DID

We ran AutoBus's whole brand and marketing function. Strategy came first: ideal customers across mining, tourism, defence and emergency services, a messaging framework for each, and positioning for AutoBus and TRUBUS. Then the identity, and the toolkit that carries the business into a room: specs, sector one-pagers, tender templates, company profile, investor materials, autobus.au and a launch page. A year of founder and company content, plus joint PR with suppliers, meant buyers arrived at the show already knowing what TRUBUS was. We built the stand collateral, and we were on the stand with the team.

Results

TRUBUS went from no brand in market to its first order, placed on the Scania stand, in ten months. A year in, AutoBus is scaling up production to meet the demand the brand created. • In market within three weeks of signing, ahead of IMARC Sydney • A first order at the expo, from a buyer who found AutoBus through the website and LinkedIn • 0 to 1,067 LinkedIn followers and 102K impressions across both pages • Enquiries from eight countries beyond Australia, before any international marketing • 25 named buyer contacts captured over two days on the stand • Coverage in three industry trade titles

"Marketd took a complex product with multiple audiences and turned it into a modern and easy to understand offering. Every image, every spec, every message reflects what we're actually delivering. Arriving at the expo was a proud moment. People had travelled to see TRUBUS, and they already knew what it was, what it could do, and what it meant for their business. Some were ready to buy on the day."
